A collection of photographs and videos documenting my friend Patrick Porter, compiled following his death in 2025. Porter was a musician, painter, writer, and one of the most creatively driven people I’ve ever known. For years, I photographed and spent time with him as he made music and art throughout the Capital Region, often working (and living) with whatever spaces were available to him.

Porter grew up in the mountains of Colorado, where he began recording music as a teenager. The collection includes archival home-video footage from his childhood, alongside photographs and video from his years in Albany. This is in keeping with his DIY approach to making art.

The project includes interviews and recordings from friends and collaborators who gathered to remember Porter for a tribute radio show originally broadcast on WCDB, where he briefly served as my co-host.

This collection forms an everlasting portrait of a memorable creative life.
