Analog photobooths are alive and well thanks to a small community of restorers, technicians, and enthusiasts like me. What draws me most to these machines is their ability to expose images directly onto light-sensitive photographic paper, producing a one-of-a-kind likeness with no digital footprint. In an increasingly AI-mediated and digitally surveilled world, the experience of stepping into an analog photobooth offers something increasingly rare.

This ongoing series documents my journey to discover and photograph as many analog photobooths as possible, while celebrating the people and communities keeping these machines alive.
